General Information
Who are the Greenville Swap Rabbits?
The Swap Rabbits are a local lifestyle group of like-minded young professionals based primarily in the Greenville area. We are a private group that is communally curated to create the precise kind of lifestyle atmosphere the members want it to be. We started as a small handful of lifestyle friends looking for a scene that prioritized classy, sexy fun over collecting notches on bedposts. Since we couldn’t seem to find anything like what we were looking for in the Greenville area, we started our own! All of our members are typically in their 20’s to 40’s, and we have a predilection towards height/weight proportional members. We welcome people from all experience levels in the lifestyle, and our events and rules are particularly catered to be respectful and comfortable for newcomers to the lifestyle.
Why is it called the Greenville Swap Rabbits?
While we assume that most Greenville locals will get the reference, for those new to the area or from farther away, the name is a pun of a popular recreation/hiking trail in Greenville and our local hockey team.
Do we have to swap with other people to become a member?
Absolutely not! We have respect for everyone’s limits, and you are welcome to join at whatever comfort levels you have.
Membership
How do I join the Greenville Swap Rabbits?
Come to a Meet & Greet! We host semi-monthly Meet & Greet events for potential new members to join the Swap Rabbits. The dates and times for our Meet & Greet events are posted publicly, but reservations can only be made by contacting a Group Administrator. The location for the event will be sent the day before so that we can make sure that we don’t exceed the reservations we make at the venue.
Do I have to attend a Meet and Greet to join or come to a party?
Yes, absolutely. You are not allowed to attend a party without formal admission to the group. This requires other members to have met you in person and is one of the main reasons that our parties are so amazing. We vet everyone prior to allowing them to attend a party to make sure that a respectful, healthy, and sexy atmosphere is maintained at every party. We appreciate that it takes a lot of effort for people to make time for lifestyle fun, and we greatly value everyone’s enjoyment of our events. Due to that, we do not allow people that we have not met in person to attend our parties. We realize this does require an extra level of effort (especially for non-locals) to join, but this requirement is what makes our group so special.
Does attending a Meet & Greet guarantee membership to the group?
Unfortunately, no. Membership in the group is determined by collecting feedback from existing members of the group after a Meet & Greet event. Collectively, the group will decide which potential new members would be welcome additions to the Greenville Swap Rabbits.
Can I still join if I don’t live in Greenville?
Yes, you may! However, the membership requirements are the same whether you are local or not. We realize this establishes the requirement for non-local people to make an extra trip to Greenville before being able to attend an event/party, but the vetting process we have is required for everyone. All of our members have been through it, and they all have an expectation that any future members will have been vetted as well.
Why was my application to the group on SDC/SLS/Kasidie/etc. rejected?
Membership is only granted after other members of the group have had a chance to meet you in person at one of our Meet & Greet events. Send us a message and we’ll work on getting you scheduled for a Meet & Greet.
Who can join the Greenville Swap Rabbits?
The Greenville Swap Rabbits is a private lifestyle group whose existing members elect to add potential new members into the group. Our group is open to couples and single females of all races, nationalities, and sexual orientations. Single males are not allowed to join as members nor are the male halves of existing couples allowed to attend events without a female.
“Hey! We met ______ and ______ at another lifestyle event and they told us about the group! Can we come to the next party!?”
While we greatly appreciate our existing members referring new lifestyle couples that they meet to our group, our Meet & Greet process applies to everyone. You will still be required to attend a Meet & Greet event and go through the vetting process just like all of our other members have.
Events
What kind of events do you host?
We host private lifestyle parties at our exclusive on-premise location in the Greenville area, Meet & Greet events for potential new members, and other fun group outings are being planned frequently.
How often do you have events?
Typically we will host one event a month, usually alternating between a Meet & Greet and official Swap Rabbits Parties. Additionally we plan various travel events and co-hosted parties at other locations.
Meet & Greets
What is a Meet & Greet event like?
Most of our events are held in an upscale downtown Greenville-area bars or restaurants. From all outward appearances, you wouldn’t be able to tell our group apart from any other well-dressed group of friends having drinks together. (Aside from other people in the bar thinking, “Damn! That’s a great looking group of people!”) There is no expectation or obligation for anyone to have any sort of intimate contact at a Meet & Greet event (or at any other event). Just show up, be yourselves, and interact like normal adults meeting new people for the first time.
Similarly, since our Meet & Greet events are held in vanilla venues, everyone is expected to conduct themselves with the decorum expected while being in a public setting. Every member of our group has the utmost respect for other’s privacy, so there will be no signs or promotions that it is a lifestyle event.
We try to keep our Meet & Greet events big enough to allow new members to join, but also small enough to keep it personal so that people can get to know each other with a good mix of new and existing members. We run these events in a couple of different formats (cocktail hours, pub crawls, etc.) so when you are registering for the event, please read the full description closely.
What do I wear to a Meet & Greet?
While there is no set dress code, we still thought this would be helpful information to pass along since we get this question quite a bit. In short, dress for a sexy date! Our typical Meet & Greet events are held in upscale bars/restaurants and we try to promote a ‘date night’ atmosphere. Ladies: sexy dresses are welcomed (and applauded), and gents: no tie required, but more effort than a t-shirt is presumed.
What happens after the Meet & Greet?
After the Meet & Greet, we will collect the feedback from the existing members that were there to help vet and interview the potential new members. It typically takes two to three days to get everyone’s feedback, since we do ask our members to be as descriptive as possible about their votes. Once we have collected everyone’s feedback, we will send formal invitations to join our group on the various lifestyle websites as well as this website, where you’ll have access to our full event calendar and member list. Membership decisions are democratic and a couple has to have a majority of positive votes to be admitted into the group.
Did you say something about an Afterparty?
Perhaps! As a “thank you” to our existing members that volunteered their time to help screen potential new members, we always throw a small party after the Meet & Greet for them at The Rabbit Hole. Given that some of our members may have just wrapped up meeting some stellar potential new members that they are excited about, we do have a bit of a ‘bonus round’ after the Meet & Greet that some potential new members may get invited to.
Here’s how it works: Towards the end of the Meet & Greet, each of the existing Greenville Swap Rabbits member couples gets to pick their one absolute favorite couple from the Meet & Greet to come back to The Rabbit Hole for an Afterparty. Those couples will be notified privately of the address to join, and are welcome to attend after the Meet & Greet has wrapped up, should they feel so inclined.
Please note that just because you get an invite to the Afterparty does not guarantee admission into the group. We will still be collecting everyone’s formal votes to determine admission. Additionally, just because you did not get an invite to the Afterparty does not mean you will not be admitted into the group after all the votes have been collected.
What should we know if we get an invite to the Afterparty?
The Afterparty is BYOB, so if you’re anticipating being extra charming, you may want to plan ahead and pack a cooler to bring with you. Alcohol purchasing options can be more limited if the M&G event ends later in the evening. Most of our members will have a cooler in the car with them that they leave in the trunk for the Afterparty. Also, it is not uncommon for members to pack outfit changes for the Afterparty (i.e. lingerie, typically) so if you would like to bring a bag, you’re welcome to. Lastly, if you do make it to the Afterparty, please note that there is plenty of off-street parking available, so if you don’t feel safe to drive, PLEASE Uber/Lyft to get home. Your safety is most important, and you are welcome to leave your car until the morning.
What happens if I don’t get accepted to the group? Can you tell me what the feedback was?
Unfortunately, we do not disclose any of the feedback from the the voting process, as it would be an obvious violation of our member’s privacy. At this point we do not have the possibility for people to be re-interviewed at another Meet & Greet, but should you cross paths with any other Greenville Swap Rabbit members in the future, we have an expectation that all our members will treat you cordially and not disparage you to others in the lifestyle. Typically, it is very rare that a potential new couple that was not admitted into the group has done something egregious or mortally offended someone else. If you cross paths with any other Greenville Swap Rabbit members in the future, feel free to say hello if you’d like and kindle any kind of connection you’d like with them.
Parties
What is a party at The Rabbit Hole like?
All of our parties are held to make sure that everyone has the best time possible at whatever comfort level they’re at. We typically start the night with a cocktail hour so that everyone can mingle before the night gets into full swing. At the end of cocktail hour, we’ll go over any new group announcements and events and also go over the rules. Every member must hear the rules at every event and even our veteran members, who have heard them dozens of times, know that a refresher is never a waste of time. We’ll have a champagne or cocktail toast [provided] after the rules and announcements and open up the play areas.
Our parties are usually themed, but are aimed at being playful and fun so that everyone can participate with as much attire effort as they desire. Full-on Halloween-level regalia is allowed (but not required) but in absence of participating in the theme, smart/business casual is recommended.
What do people usually bring to parties?
If you want to ensure you have beverages you like, it is strongly encouraged to BYOB. We will have a limited selection of drinks that fit the theme of the party in case you run out.
